i am literally speechless when it comes to talking about my experience at the jose villa workshop. it truly was an experience of a lifetime. jose and his crew were FABULOUS, the food was amazing, the resort was amazing, and the people were just basically awesome. i went to this workshop as a sponge. i wanted to just absorb and take in everything around me. i want to be a better photographer, a better business owner, but also a better wife, daughter, and friend. finding that balance is so hard, but i really think that at this workshop, i learned a little bit of all of that.

when justin and i first walked into the hacienda, i was just floored. i had no idea what to expect, but what i saw was beyond my wildest dreams. the hospitality there really allowed us to be in a place where we could put everything else in our lives aside and focus on what we came there for. i am seriously forever grateful to everyone who was involved in the workshop. thank you for a once in a life time experience. it is one that i am sure to never forget.

(i had originally intended to do this workshop in a few posts, but decided to just combine them all into one, so sorry for the randomness :) enjoy )

i know that i keep on saying it over and over again but, I LOVE FALL! i think that everyone has been bitten by the love fall bug this year. i don't know if it is because it was just so unbelievably hot this summer that everyone was just ready for some cooler weather, or the fact that we have been so blessed with amazing weather this season that you can't help but be happy. i think it's a combination of both! a couple weeks ago i got to revisit one of my favorite wedding venues in knoxville, the maple grove inn!! justin and i got married there in october of 2008 and i just could not wait to go back. it is the most fabulous place to have an outdoor wedding in the fall. and mollie and joe's wedding was nothing short of just that. FABULOUS. mollie and joe both worked so hard to put their thumbprint on this wedding and make it theirs. a true celebration of their love and who they are. i really think that it turned out perfect.

joe actually hand made all of these mason jar chandeliers which were amazing. they really added that perfect touch.

i absolutely adored mollie's boquet. she said she wanted her flowers to have an "etherial" feel to them. i thought that was such a great word! :) really does describe the look of the day.

(oh and you might recognize this cute girl to the left. she was one of my brides from june. love her.)

mollie actually hand made those little cake toppers and they looked just like her and joe! i loved it!

and a friend of mollie's made all of these cupcakes! i thought she did such a fantastic job. they were just so cute!

ya' know, i really can't believe that i haven't blogged about him sooner. until i met my husband, he was the love of my life. i know it sounds silly, but he has gotten me through some of my hardest days as well as some of the best. there are so many days where i am beyond thankful for his love, his companionship, and his company. he really is like my child and just makes life better. his name is rex and he is my little 5 lb dog.

i have seriously been the worst blogger ever!!! i feel like i have said a hundred times how busy i have been this year, but we really have been! i am getting ready to wrap up the 2010 wedding season and i really just can't believe how fast this year has gone. 2011 is going to be here before we know it!!! i am already looking forward to some fabulous weddings in the year to come and lindsey and randy's is one of them!!! i have known lindsey for years now (our dad's have worked together since we were just kids). she has grown up to be beyond gorgeous! her and randy have been together for like 5 years (hmmmm...i think that's right!) so, they are very excited to get married and i could not be happier to be a part of it as their photographer.

weekend of weddings

since i have been the world's worst blogger lately, i thought that i should at least leave you with a little taste of the wedding goodness i saw this weekend. i mean seriously, could the weather this past weekend have been any better for a fall wedding???!!! i don't think so.

saturday i had the privilege of revisiting maple grove inn for mollie and joe's sweet wedding.

and then sunday was just as sweet with melody and lance at hunter valley farm.
