This has been such a fun wedding season!  Each wedding is so unique in it's own way and that really is what makes them so special.  This wedding so so fun for my sister and I because Meredith has been a friend of my sister's for many years.  It is always such a privilege to photograph the wedding of a friend.  To be able to experience a wedding on this side is something that I will always love.  It is the reason that I got into this business in the first place.  I never forget that when I am able to be there for all these special and intimate moments that happen between friends, family members, and of course the bride and groom.  Meredith was such a beautiful bride.  She is a natural beauty and I knew that she would shine on her wedding day.  Her and Ben make such a great match.  They just seem like two peas in a pod.  I wish you guys the best of luck throughout your marriage and life together!!

This has already been one of my favorite wedding seasons ever!  Like always, I have the best clients and shooting their weddings never feels like work.  Just getting to hang out with them on the most special day of their lives is such a privilege.  It is truely, my favorite part of the job.  Rachel and Dave were married a few weeks ago on a hot spring day.  We have been so lucky this year with all the outdoor weddings that we have had, to have had really great weather.  Getting to know Rachel and Dave over the last year or so has been so fun.  They are such a sweet couple who were so excited to tie the knot!  I wish you all the very best in all the years to come!

there are few things in this life that i love more than an amazing outdoor wedding.  katharine and russ's wedding was just that.  what was even better, it was a "backyard" wedding.  although, it sure doesn't look like it is in someone's backyard.  not only does it have an amazing rose arbor, but the most beautiful view in all of knoxville.  their home really captures the beauty of this amazing part of the country that we live in.  the crazy thing about this wedding, is that just 3 days before, we had the worst hail storm i'm pretty sure our city has ever seen.  i have to admit, i was nervous.  i just thought for sure that their amazing landscaping would be torn to shreds.  when i arrived, i couldn't help but have a smile on my face.  everything looked beyond perfect.  it was the perfect day for an outdoor wedding for a couple that i just love.  i have loved getting to know katharine and russ and couldn't be happier for them!

yes, i'm alive!  i know that i have really been slacking at blogging lately, and for those of you that check here often, i'm sorry!  i hope that you haven't given up on me and i promise to kick things into full gear starting NOW!  i have been really lucky to have had several early season weddings this year, but leah and austin's wedding really marked the beginning of the busy wedding season!  it was an absolutely gorgeous april day with temperatures in the upper 80's!  leah and austin both just have the sweetest personalities, so i was really looking forward to their big day.  i knew that it would be a wedding that was full of love, smiling faces, and lots of excitement and it was just that!  

wedding season is in full swing!  my mailbox has been full of beautiful invitations to my bride's weddings and that can only mean one thing....that their weddings are right around the corner!  i had the opportunity to photograph jennifer and aaron's beautiful wedding at maryville college and reception at the amazing r.t. lodge.  aaron and jennifer went to school at maryville college and really wanted to have an outdoor wedding in front of the schools' library.  the weather forecast had a different agenda.....with an 80% chance of rain, aaron and jennifer decided to stick with their vision and get married underneath a tent with their closest friends and family.  all day i was receiving texts from friends in nashville saying, "we are getting soaked here!  get ready!"  well the rain held off and the day was just perfect.  the evening was capped off by going back to the r.t. lodge where guests were wined and dinned with the lodge's phenomenal service.
